Not much is known about the whereabouts of Lightning in FFXIII-2, but Square-Enix wants you to know it definitely will play a bigger role than just trying to find her. It appears that they are trying to merge the visual style of Versus XIII more in to the landscape since they are supposed to be of the same planet. Since XII-2 is supposed to focus heavily on time travel, they may have the 2 games cross a little (I doubt it though). Either way, the White Engine looks just as good now as it did a couple of years ago and the game should be amazing since they are supposedly fixing the parts players complained about. Every time I watch this video, It feels more and more like a Soul Caliber intro lol. Although I will be picking this one up (of course) I wish Sqenix would tone down the theatrics a bit. Yes, pretty things are nice to look at but I would rather have an amazing story.
Yeah, that was one of the first things I thought too. Bothell swords look oddly similar to both of the soul swords. From everything that I’ve heard, they are really taking fan opinion to heart. This one should be nowhere near linear like XIII was.
