Anime streaming services Crunchyroll and Funimation Now have joined up to bring you more anime to you. Funimation Now will focus on bringing you dubbed anime as Funimation always has, while Crunchyroll will be your destination for subbed anime.
So what does this really mean? Crunchyroll will begin carrying subbed versions of Funimation shows. On the other end, Crunchyroll shows will be getting Broadcast Dubs on Funimation Now. Funimation will also handle distribution for Crunchyroll home releases.
The immediate impact of this new partnership is that you’ll be getting English dubs of Free!-Iwatobi Swim Club, The Testament of Sister New Devil, 91 Days, Orange, and Mob Psycho 100 on Funimation Now. Crunchyroll now has D.Gray-man HALLOW, Puzzle & Dragons X, FIRST LOVE MONSTER, PSYCHO-PASS, Cowboy Bebop, and Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash.
This is just the beginning for this young partnership, and we expect to see a lot more collaboration between the two services. As an added bonus, Funimation Now gets a reduced price to $5.99 a month or $59.99 for a year. This is exciting news, as this will mean more dubs and more subs to more people.
