Ok, so this is a little interesting. If you are playing Dragon’s Dogma connected to the internet you will get a little bit of MMORPG flavor mixed in to your traditional RPG. In the game you will eventually come across the Ur Dragon which will have ties to a community pool of HP. You know what, Capcom can explain it better so here is a snippet from their dev blog:
“The effect and damage done by of each of these parties will be combined until the creature is defeated. This will take multiple encounters, but all players who inflict damage on the Ur-Dragon will receive great spoils. The person who inflicts the final blow will receive the greatest reward of all, and all slayers of the Ur-Dragon will have their names and play times recorded in the hall of fame for bragging rights. Meanwhile, offline players will still be able to take on the Ur-Dragon alone, but will receive different rewards at the end.”
Sounds pretty interesting. The big question that I wonder is if they will continually recycle the Ur Dragon after it’s beaten so that this isn’t just a 1 time thing. Hopefully they will answer these questions before the game comes out at the end of the month. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
I played the demo for this game and it was pretty stupid, I don’t know if it was because it was a demo but you couldn’t change your equipment such as weapons and armor. Which is stupid since that is like the most important thing about an RPG!
You should be able to change armor and weapons in the game, it must just be because it was the demo. I like that they made the demo character importable to the main game though. It’s interesting but may be a WFTBB recipient.
Definitely WFTBB specailly with Diablo 3 in a week
I am agreeing, this game just screams GENERIC to me, but time will tell.
