Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer of entirely in-game alpha footage of the next Assassin’s Creed game, which will go next-gen only. As you can see from the trailer, and with the description Ubisoft leading off with Qu’ils mangent de la brioche, Let them eat cake, we can tell that the game will take place in France, during the French Revolution. So, I was wrong in its direction. Graphically the game looks amazing, let’s just hope they can polish up the gameplay/story line, oh and bugs.
Looks like they are taking back to a more traditional Assassin’s Creed, and not Pirate’s Creed, which is both good and bad. Good because this is Assassin’s Creed, bad because the pirate/ship combat part of it is the best thing about AC4, which gets dragged down by the Assassin’s Creed part. Assassin’s Creed Unity is set to launch later this year for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
