For our fourth anime the I Beat It First crew has found an anime that touches on both Fantasy and Mecha, Knight’s & Magic. Knight’s & Magic is set in a world where medieval knights use giant robots called Silhouette Knights to fight against demon beasts, magical ravenous animals that devour everything on sight. The protagonist is Tsubasa Kurata, a mecha otaku from Japan who gets killed in a car accident. Tsubasa is reincarnated in this new parallel world as Ernesti “Eru” Echavalier, a boy born into a noble family. Tsubasa’s previous otaku memories inspire Ernesti into creating his own Silhouette Knights in order to defend his kingdom. This week peace is threatened by stereotypes, the Fire Nation kidnaps a princess, Ernie uses the worst voice modulator, A DRAGON, and no loose ends get tied up… NONE!
Now that Knight’s & Magic is finally over we can move on to our 5th anime, Outbreak Company. Here is what you have to look forward to:
Shin’ichi Kanō is a young secluded otaku who is offered a job thanks to his vast knowledge of anime, manga, and video games. However, just after meeting his new employer, he is kidnapped, awakening in an alternate world with a fantasy setup. Shin’ichi is then informed that he was in fact selected by the Japanese government to help improve his country’s relations with this new world by establishing a company to spread the unique products of the Japanese culture to this new, unexplored market.
