Yesterday Square Enix released a new story trailer for Lost Sphear, the second JRPG from Tokyo RPG Factory. We’ve included the trailer before so you don’t have to go searching around on YouTube for it, because we’re nice like that.
If you didn’t know, Lost Sphear is a classic style JRPG, similar to I Am Setsuna because well, it is made by the same company that was founded by Square Enix for the sole purpose to make these type of games. The world of Lost Sphear is disappearing, and its up to you to use the power of memories to restore it. Lost Sphear looks to be far more varied than I Am Setsuna, that was set almost entirely in snow covered lands. Lost Sphear features lush colorful areas, and dark industrial areas. Oh, and it has mechs, and who doesn’t like mechs? Eric and I enjoyed I Am Setsuna as it was a great modern take on classic JRPGs like Chrono Trigger. I for one am looking forwarded to this game as I start getting away from FIFA, racing games, and FPSs and get back into JRPGs. Lost Sphear comes out on PC, PS4, and Switch on January 23rd, 2018.
