My Akibento box arrived for the month of June, so let’s see what the Adventure themed anime box contains! Check out the video below as I try and figure out what every thing is.
First up is this this figurine of Monkey D Luffy from One Piece all dressed up with a parrot. I can’t say I’ve watched much One Piece, but what I have watched I’ve really enjoyed. I’m sure my friends Sam and Brittany are going to be jealous of this, as they are huge One Piece fans.
Here we have a Yu Yu Hakusho plush of Kazuma. I recently started watching this anime and am really enjoying it, despite being a bit late to the game.
Included this month is what they refer to as a Samurai lanyard, which features characters from Samuari X/Rurouni Kenshin. This happens to be one of Eric’s favorite Animes, so much so that his username is named after it.
Also included this month was a Cowboy Bebop tote bag. Cowboy Bebop is a classic in the world of anime and definitely worth watching if you haven’t already. As mentioned in the video, it is available for streaming on Funimation or you can purchase it on Blu-Ray.
They included an Anime Man sticker in this months box, which seems to be a mashup of One Piece and Fairy Tail.
Finally there is the t-shirt, which is an excellent mash up of One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fairy Tail, Hunter X Hunter, and a couple other anime. All of which are worth watching if you haven’t watched them yet.
All in all I’m very pleased with my Akibento subscription, as their monthly themes seems to fit the animes I tend to watch more so than, say Loot Anime’s themes of late. The value also seems to be there, and the figurines you get from them has been fantastic.
