E3 2016: PC Gaming Show

WE got in a little late because of the Microsoft Presser, but we’re here now.  Hopefully this one won’t run super long like last year, it’s slated for 90 minutes.

• We got in right at the end of Ark, one of the only games that I was really excited to see
• Giant cop actually looks fun.  All of the fun parts of Sim City w/o having to build a town.
• Mount and Blade II looks cool.  You can NPC aside and take over weaponry.
  • There is a bit of clipping but the game still looks pretty cool.  Great scale for a massive castle siege
• Another Dark Souls difficult game set in a tech universe.  The Surge
  • Looks good, finally someone has moved out of the dark ages.
• Zero G MOBA, interesting.  Law Breakers.
  • Good to see another Cliffy B game nearing completion.
  • Ice-T lied, it’s Low G, not Zero G
  • Public Alpha coming out to help balance a very unbalanced game.
  • Comparing Overwatch to Street Fighter and Law Breakers to Mortal Kombat… ok.  Yes, it’s very geared towards fanboys.
  • Public Alpha is on the 18th.  Stream all you want, no NDA.
• Yay… eSports…
  • I will check out a minute rather that talk trash about eSports.
• Here’s the big sponsor, hello AMD.
  • Doom looks great on Polaris.
  • THERE’S A BOX!!!!!
  • All 3 Polaris Cards: RX480 (coming out June 29th), RX470 and RX460 (eSports focus)
  • VR Backpack?!?!?!  NICE!
    • Super awesome for businesses!
  • Serious Sam in VR… let’s keep kicking the horse folks.
  • AMD still makes CPU… you wouldn’t be remiss if you kinda forgot that.
    • Summit Ridge runs Doom pretty well.
• Vampyr seems to play pretty well.
  • Pretty good magical powers and haunting quartet music.
  • VERY different from Life is Strange.
• Killing Floor 2
  • New content coming soon.
  • More footage looks even better than last year.
  • Cool new characters, a Zed and Rae.
  • Leaving Early Access this Fall, full game will be available.
    • The update pack is now live.
  • Free weekend on Steam starting Thursday, ends on Monday
  • ONE MORE THING: Killing Floor on Oculus?
    • New game, Killing Floor Incursion
  • Sorry, Internet issues again
• Superhot VR looks interesting
• New Obsidian game, Tyranny
  • Diablo style game, looks good but not as pretty as Diablo.
• Observer looks like a horror movie inside the Matrix.
  • Fears are hacked and used against you?
  • Eastern European Cyber Punk, interesting take to try and move it away from standard American lore.  It’s totally NOT Bladerunner.
  • Gameplay looks good but is very dark.
  • Hacking into dreams and memories seems interesting though
• New RTS, Drop Zone.
  • RTS Moba?  UUUGGGGHHHH!
  • Everything looks the same… boring.
• Now for more Arma 3, Arma 3 Apex
  • At least they’re cognizant that they’ve been producing it FOREVER!
  • Game looks better than last year, but I think I just saw a black head on a white body
  • Releasing 7/11/16

• Square with a new game, robots in space.  The Turing Test.
  • Portal-esque FPS puzzler
• Overland
  • First Access round starting today, 1000 keys available on the Finji site.
• Dual Universe seems to want to beat No Man’s Sky to the punch.
  • You can build Ships, Space Stations
  • All Voxel built
  • One persistent Universe for everyone, sounds good but ambitious.  Wars, like in Eve, will happen.
  • Still in pre-Alpha, Alpha coming 2017.  Not beating No Man’s Sky then, lol… yet.
• Celebrating the Mouse and Keyboard with Razer.Thanks for the reminder that it’s an integral part of the PC guys.
  • I can’t tell if it’s a tongue in cheek video for fun or what…

• Halo Wars 2
  • We heard a bunch of this during the Xbox presser but the horrible wifi made it impossible to tell you about it.
  • HW2 looks good and will be a really fun RTS, like the original,
  • Battle scale is vast.
  • We were all big RTS fans too, Dan.
  • I like the approach to make it enjoyable for casual gamers or RTS newbies that might destroyed by the pro’s online.
• New game announce releasing on Steam next month, Day of Infamy.
  • Appears to be Scottish soldiers in WWII.
• Mirage , adding magic to Chivalry.
  • They wanted to add Fighting game mechanics to a, FPS.  It seems to work but the character designs are kinds meh.
  • Coming Fall 2016, Beta Summer 2016.
• Mages of Mystralia has a very cute polygon style.
  • Make your own magic and fight giant monsters.
  • Available on Steam next year.
• And now for more Warframe patches, Lunaro
  • Warframe Field Hockey!
  • And a free Weapon skin… yay?
• Deus Ex update with the first level of the game, YES!
  • Gameplay looks great and the game seems to move a lot faster.
  • Non-lethal playthrough is still there!
  • The UI can be completely customized and adjusted, nice feature.  You can even get rid of it entirely.
• Warren Spector is in the house!!!!
  • Nothing to announce, just his thoughts on the future of PC gaming.
