Lost Sphear, the second game from Square Enix’s new studio Tokyo RPG Factory will be coming west on January 23rd, 2018. Those unfamiliar with Tokyo RPG Factory, they were founded to make JRPGs of old, such as Chrono Trigger, but for modern consoles. I have been playing their debut game I Am Setsuna and loving the musical score and story.
Lost Sphear looks to play very similar, with improvements made to the active time battle system. In addition, your party increases from 3 to 4. While I Am Setsuna was tons of snow, Lost Sphear looks to have a variety of environments from colorful country side to dark industrial cities. In Lost Sphear, the world is disappearing, and it’s up to you to stop it from disappearing with the power of memories. I for one am looking forward to seeing the improvements made as well as another great story and score. It’ll be coming out on PC on Steam, PS4, and Switch.
