I’ve never been an automatic buyer of the SSX series (or many sports games for that matter) since I owned an original PlayStation, but if it’s good I’ll usually think about picking it up in the bargain bin. This game will most likely be one of those, but there are some interesting mechanics displayed in the video after the READ MOAR. SSX has always been the DoA or Need for Speed of the sports world, but sometimes a little fantasy is called for in order to make a game more fun. The glide wing suits used, awesome stunts and the ability to rewind time, ala Prince of Persia, are all pretty good additions to the snowboarding world. The video released is from an Alpha version of the game, so while it looks good it’s still not MIND BLOWING because the textures haven’t been nailed down (but it looks pretty damned good for an Alpha). The only good snowboarding game IMHO was 1080 Snowboarding, everything past that has been Meh at best. Ill admit that the wing suits was a nice add on but not enough to make me want to buy it.
I agree. This may be one I would pick up if it’s nice and cheap in the BB though.
