E3 2017 First Look: Detroit Become Human.

Since its announcement at E3 last year, and as a big fan of Heavy Rain, I have been anxiously looking forward to getting more information on Detroit Become Human.  This year Sony revealed more of the actual story line and introduced us to a few more of the key characters.

“Set in Detroit City during the year 2036, the city has been revitalized by the invention and introduction of Androids into everyday life. But when Androids start behaving as if they are alive, events begin to spin out of control. Step into the roles of the story’s pivotal three playable characters, Kara, Connor and Markus, each with unique perspectives as they face their new way of life. ”

Some of the main aspects that has really impressed me was the shear amount of things you can do.  Much like “detective mode” in Heavy Rain Markus (and other android characters) are able to go into a “detective” mode while they plot out their next moves or search the environment for things to interact with (only now instead of cool glasses, its just because they are freaking Androids).  Interesting aspect is that it feels not so much like “freezing time” but more along the lines of how fast an Actual androids processing power would be in order to make snap decisions.

Another interesting addition is the new Passive/Violence meter which allows you to see how your actions are effecting your stance, and in turn how humans view you and your plight.

Looking forward to getting our hands on Detroit Become Human when it is released hopefully sometime before E3 2018.
